1. How can you define law? What is law?
Law is a set of rules that govern the society.

2. Setting strict laws is very essential (important) for societies. Discuss.
Without laws there will be no justice. There will be no safety in the country. Crimes are more likely to increase in countries that don’t enforce strict laws.

3. How can we enforce laws in the society?
The government should set penalties and punishments to punish those who break the law.

4. What is the basic principle of all laws?
A person is innocent until proven guilty.

5. Give examples of illegal actions.
Dealing in drugs, drinking alcohol, murder, theft, physical and psychological abuse… etc

6. Where did Kuwait draw its laws from?
Kuwait drew its laws from the teachings of the Holy Quraan.

7. In what way are computer crimes different from ordinary crimes? Why is it difficult to solve computer crimes?
Techno-criminals are invisible and it’s almost impossible to prove their crimes. On the other hand, criminals in ordinary crimes are visible and there is usually physical evidence to prove their crimes.

8. Give examples of techno-crimes.
Identity theft, bank account theft, hacking, online harassment…etc

9. Why is techno-crimes on the increase?
Because the number of people using the computer and the internet is increasing.

10. Suggest ways to prevent computer crimes?
We should improve security of our online information by inventing new methods of online confirmation. We should change the passwords of our online accounts every now and then. We must not post any secret information online, such as bank account details or ID numbers. The government must set harsher punishments on techno-criminals.

11. What is meant by culture of blame?
people tend to find somebody to blame instead of taking responsibility of their actions

12. Are you for or against more litigation in courts? Do you agree or disagree with solving minor issues in courts? Why?

Litigation

I agree
because each one of us has the right to go to court. It proves that the society protects the interests of all citizens and protects people from criminal neglect. It shows that our courts are working.

I disagree
because these minor cases will clog up our courts and could delay the capture the real criminals in more serious cases such as murder and drug dealing. The minor cases can be solved without going to courts.
