It was “Bring Your Pet to School” day! I’m Sam and my dog Max was happily walking beside me to the bus stop. The other kids in my neighborhood had their pets too. Sara had a fish bowl with her Betta fish. Mary had her white cat Richi and Sally had a charming little canary in a cage.

We were all excited to have our pets with us. Once we got on the bus, it was so noisy. Kids didn’t stop chatting. The animals were making loud sounds, and the smell was terrible. We opened the bus windows to have some fresh air. “Get back here” said Mary to Richi as the cat was moving around everyone. The bus driver’s voice came over the speaker “Please hold on to your pets! It is dangerous to have them running all over the bus!” Finally we were at school. As we all walked off the bus, I looked at the school yard. It looked like a real zoo. There were animals of different shapes, sizes and colours.
